In the event of a power cut you may need access to your garage. If there is no secondary access you will need an outside disconnect mechanism fitting. Power supply?
You will require a power supply to the motor. This should take the form of a standard three-pin socket. The socket should be within a 2 metre radius, 4m from the garage door in the centre of the garage (for Up & Over) or 2m from the front of the garage (for Roller)

Not necessarily. All we need is access to the garage

Security?
Unless you opt for extra security options or a motor specific to your door (e.g. Hormann), installation of a garage door operator requires the disconnection of any existing locks. This should not greatly affect the security of your door, but we would ask you to note this when making your decision. See openers for security information and optional extras

Safety
All openers used by YGO include electronic ‘sensitivity’ systems which set appropriate force limits according to the weight of your individual door. This system senses an obstruction and automatically reverses or stops the door. Non-contact (I-Beam) sensors can also be used to detect obstructions before they contact with the door. Openers can be easily and quickly disengaged by using the manual release mechanism. See accessories for further details
